Robert is dual qualified as a Solicitor and Chartered Quantity Surveyor and is a director of SLS, based in Leeds. He has a masters degree in law and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. When practicing as a quantity surveyor, Robert worked in private practice with Gleeds and in a senior role on major projects for Laing. Before joining SLS, Robert was an Executive Director of Knowles with responsibility for Knowles’ Leeds and Sheffield offices.
KEY STRENGTHS
Robert is experienced in the provision of advice concerning the legal entitlement of parties to construction and engineering contracts including the preparation of associated documentation ranging from terms and conditions to loss and/or expense claims and representation in various dispute proceedings. He has wide experience of managing teams and controlling strategy.
As a result of his varied career, Robert has first hand experience in all stages of the construction and engineering process from development stage through to final account.
